Vintage 1963 Mattel “Barbie Doll Case” - Black.
This was a yard sale find a couple years ago.
As pictured, this case has a lot of scratches, tears, scuffs, rubs and marks. The latch, rivets and other metal components are rusted. The hinged lid is torn at both sides (pictured) approximately 2 1/2- 3 inches. The drawer is missing and the compartment for a drawer is torn at the corners, and at one rivet point. The latch closes, but may need tlc to close it completely. There’s a hook-loop to hang clothes and a slot for a doll. I cleaned the best I could. There’s still dingy residue, water stains, marker stains, discoloration , edge curls and scuffs everywhere inside.
This Barbie case is great for a new collector.
It comes from a clean, smoke free home.
